Kalles Kaviar have been celebrating finest ska, rocksteady and reggae for around three decades. What began in the 90s in the minds - and on the beer mats - of two friends from Basel has become an integral part of the Swiss music scene!
From a squat in Geneva to gigs accompanying Roy Ellis, alias Mr. Symarip, and international festival shows in France, Germany and Spain: The eight gentlemen have ska, rocksteady and early reggae in their blood, exude good vibes and get every audience dancing with their passionate homage to the roots of ska.
Their sound distillate seems to keep you young, musical and thirsty for more. After their last album “Probably The Next Big Thing” (2020), the follow-up “Nine Feet Tall” is due to be released this year and we are very much looking forward to perhaps experiencing some of the songs live. One thing is already clear: the MUKS courtyard will become a dance floor under a starry sky that evening.

The Markthalle Basel and the Libanicious food stand will be providing drinks and salty snacks.
