Tanzfest 2025 - Tanzkurier «Carmen & Chaos»

"When people can no longer go out into the world, the world of dance moves towards them" is the motto of the "Tanzkurier", a dance courier founded during the pandemic. As part of the national dance festival, flamenco dancer, dance teacher and Feldenkrais therapist Tina Wyss will be visiting retirement and nursing homes in Basel and the surrounding area with her beautiful project and inviting people to an afternoon dance at the Wendelin retirement and nursing home. Senior citizens, residents and dance enthusiasts will have the opportunity to dance together for around 60 minutes to the sounds of guitarist Michal Abramski. Based on the famous "La Habanera", a wonderfully rhythmic, passionate and humorously chaotic dance will be created. The format will be specially adapted to the abilities and needs of older people. The focus is on interpersonal encounters and the joy of dance and music.
