"La Fiesta" is a dance theater piece by Catalan choreographer, performer, dance teacher, cultural organizer and Pina Bausch student Pilar Buira Ferre. It is performed by dancers aged between 50 and 80 from Compania Cia and vis à vie & Ce la vie and thrives on the contrast between romance and the grotesque, between tenderness and absurdity. In around 25 minutes, it illuminates a hidden part of us that everyone knows but nobody shows. "La Fiesta" laughs at life in abundance and at the "more and more and more". It is poetic and whimsical, a poem without words. To the music of Vivaldi, danced moments, gestures and emotions merge into something profoundly human, bringing together beauty and absurdity.
